TEENS AND ADULTS ONLY
Join Instrutor Coruja Saturday mornings at 8:45am- 9:30am CT in this 6 week series to get your sweat on! We will be practicing and drilling capoeira kicks, tricks, and movements, in a class designed to get you working (and having fun)!
Technique instruction will not be provided during this class- it is designed as a workout, and Instrutor Coruja will be exercising right along side of you.
Conditioning classes are fantastic to add as a regular part of your capoeira training. They help to build endurance, strength, and speed, while expanding your comfort and confidence in capoeira's techniques.
These classes are for ages 11 and up (teen and adult attendees), and attendees must have basic understanding of the following techniques: ginga, guarda baixa, negativa, role, au, queda de rins, armada, quiexada, martelo, ponteira.
Registered students should plan to try to attend all of the classes in this 6 week series, but attendance from one week to another is not contingent upon attending prior weeks.
Depending on interest and attendance, this class may become a regular part of our class offerings.

Part 1: October 19th at 12:45pm- 1:15pm CT
Introduction to pad and striking equipment. (No training will happen during this session- it is informational only). Sensei Jenny / Vespa will show a few equipment recommendations- from pads to strike to hand and foot protection for striking.
Part 2: December 28th at 12:00pm- 12:30pm CT
Introduction to pad-striking at home. In this session families are encouraged to bring their pads and equipment and take a short class with their child so they can learn the basics of holding pads and being a good training partner. Adult capoeira students will want to bring a partner as well.
This winter in our advanced classes, we will begin integrating in pad work and striking. These workshops are open to anyone interested in furthering their martial arts training with pad work, but especially is encouraged for those in or nearing our advanced class.
Students should attend with a parent.
